Are you curiouser and curiouser about things in your creative life? New things, old things, all things?
Yes? No? Don’t know?
So I was super curious to know how my 3D art would look in watercolor. So guess what I did??? Guess, guess…
I tried it out silly. (Insert loud laughter here – were you expecting some magical answer?)
Tadaaaaaaa – Entry of ‘Watercolors’ – Thomp thomp thomp (that’s just the sound I think the water colors would make if they were making a grandiose entry) .
Anyways it was a little less grandiose than that. I got them from my art shelf and dusted them off. Yea, I know it’s sad I hadn’t used them in a while, but in my defense the possibilities in the art world are ENDLESS!!! And I was busy experimenting with other styles and mediums and…..
After I got those watercolors off my shelf, I got me some brushes and some H2O (water for the non-nerds) and I was off to the races. Yes, it’s literally that quick to get started – in the blink of an eye you’re down the rabbit hole! (Lewis Carroll would have probably been so proud of me right about now.)
In fact I was soooo excited that I even splurged on some fine new watercolors. You can see more of those on my Instagram. If we’re not Instafriends yet, what are you waiting for!!!
‘So much to do, so little time’…..
You notice how everything always begins with the smallest step.
Sometimes a simple wash makes things look so cool!
Adding little bits every step along the way. Itty bitty steps as I like to call it.
There is something very satisfying about globs of paint.
Getting those gello pens in now. Remember gello pens for this earlier post?
Life is incomplete without pitt pens!

MMA to Watercolor
Rings a bell? If not, check this out.
I guess we can call this done now.

Curiouser and Curiouser...
I think it turned out pretty cool. But what do you think?
Your turn now.
1) What have you lately splurged on in your arts-crafts life?
2) And what do you get curiouser and curiouser about in your art life?
Let me know in the comments below.
…..Over the hill or here or there, I wonder where. Until next time,
