Do you love denim?
I absolutely love denim and all its versions! I like its consistent look across the board, no matter the variation. But I wanted to break this consistency a little for fun. So I created my own designer brand à la OnlyADecadeLate (wink wink).
Ingredients:
1) DecoFabric Markers
2) Denim of choice
3) Burst of creative energy
I went to town with this project….. This would have been very easy to create if I did not run out of ink (insert eye roll here). The toughest part about making this was getting to the store to buy another pair of markers! (Hard to believe, I know.)
And to be honest, I kinda had a lot of fun even modeling for it during the photo-shoot (insert big broad smile here). I felt like a super-star.
This post beautifully brings together 2 different genres of creativity, namely art and fashion and juxtaposes it to create a unique and chic pair of designer denim. In simple words it takes fabric painting to a whole new level.
I’m going to let the pictures in this post do most of the talking. But I think if art and fashion had a baby this is what it would look like (insert chuckle here).
Little disclaimer: I did buy me some new Jordache super skinny for this experiment. I wanted to ensure this would be a success before I went coloring all over my own clothes.
DecoFabric markers hard at work.
I love how the white sits against the vibrant denim blue.
And modeling time…..
I think I’d take up modeling in an alternate universe. It was way more fun than I’d expected.
So what do you think? Did I wake up the artist and the fashionista in you all at the same time?
